Ibn Zahr Major Overhauling of PP1 Extruder Line 1 TAM/PP2 SD Rotating Equipment Shutdown Maintenance

SMH Industrial Services Company Ltd. has been in the business of rotating equipment services for more than half a decade and during these years the company’s name become familiar to Petrochemical and Oil & Gas reputable companies. As a matter of fact, based on the company’s proven track records during successful execution of the 2019 project in IBN ZAHR Line#5, PP3 Plant Extruder major overhauling. Ibn Zahr preferred none other than SMH Company to do the major overhauling and modification of Line#1 PP1 Extruder.

It was our pleasure to serve once again Saudi-European Petrochemical Company (Ibn Zahr) for this year turnaround.

A principal asset of hundred team of technical experts executed the Major Overhaul of Twin Screw Extruder, Main Gearbox, Melt Pump Replacement, Melt Pump Gearbox, Diverter Valve, Pelletizer and SPC unit.

It’s one of the oldest installation of extruder by Farrel from USA. Ibn Zahr planned major overhaul with replacement of internals mainly and modifications as required.

In addition, SMH Company is always one step ahead for any support services even with a short notice period, another rewarding opportunity was awarded to SMH and we manage to mobilize hundred specialists additionally to support Rotating machineries major/minor overhaul of PP2 Plant including but not limited to VRC Compressor, Extruders with its auxiliaries, blowers, pumps etc.

With very limited timeline of six days of mechanical spanner, days was available to attend fifty plus equipment for maintenance.

SMH Company already handled parallel of Shutdowns/Turnarounds and managed to end up with successful Job completion without compromising our safety maneuvers with proper Job execution, planning strategies and trusted and reliable resources.
